Blogger Xchange goes to Memphis

Memphis is one of my fave cities because it’s where my parents are both from. I spent many summers as a young child there. Now, as an adult I can partake in Beale Street and more of the musical and cultural aspects. That is why we chose to expand Blogger Xchange to Memphis. On Thursday, May 17 we held our first event at Old Dominick. Old Dominick Distillery is based in Memphis, but they have since expanded to Nashville. They were the perfect venue as they not only have great drinks brewed in-house, but the aesthetic is the stuff of bloggers’ dreams.

Our blogger group was given a private distillery tour to see how their 3 signatures drinks are made. Be sure to scroll to the photos our photographer Ike captured. I was really fascinated. It was the first time I saw and learned about the full process from wheat to final barreling. After our tour, we networking and food. This was all followed by a wonderful panel discussion. This was certainly an engaged and enthusiastic group that was open to listen and share. That is what the Blogger Xchange is all about! We are so excited to go back to Memphis for our next event soon.

It’s not a Blogger Xchange event without giveaways. We partnered with Dollar General, Codeword Hats and Buff City Soaps for awesome swag bags. Be sure to check out their sites below. Fun fact, Bluff City has partnered with Old Dominick to make specialty soaps for their liquors. You can find those soaps in the Old Dominick gift shop.

Be sure to look out for Old Dominick in stores if you live in the Southeast region. Have you tried them before? If you’re in Memphis, I suggest you stop by for a tour, followed by a tasting, lunch and then hit their gift shop. It’s a nice afternoon trip in the heart of downtown and then you can hit Beale Street.
