Last weekend, I attended my first Wine in the Winter courtesy of iHeartMedia. It’s the smaller sister event to Wine on the River. Wine in the Winter takes place in the Downtown Hilton ballroom. Downtown Hilton sees many drinking events such a beer fest. This was the 4th year for this fun annual wine event.
The name is deceiving. Upon arrival, we quickly learned that there are several beer, vodka, whiskey and bourbon options to taste. We even found our friends from Deep Bay Spirts. There was also lots of yummy food. The event went from 4-8:00PM. Arrived around 5:30PM. I would say 2 hours is all you need. We visited every booth (some several times). We also had time to look at the clothing vendors and really learn about each brand.
If you’re not a huge wine snob, I recommend a group of 3-4. I just went with my blogger bestie and we had a blast. I highly recommend you check out the 2020 edition. Cherry on top, the event benefits The District, a non-profit. Wine in the Winter is def an experience you want to check out.
I can’t wait for Wine in the River this summer. Make sure you look out for when tickets go on sale.
