Austin Yacht Weekend blew my expectations and my group has confirmed we’re returning in 2020. Have you heard of Austin Yacht Weekend? It’s a great 3 days of parties and fun in the TX sun. Before the main day on Saturday, we got to explore Austin.
The first time I went to Austin was for ACL a few years ago. I fell in love. It was great to see another side of the city. We arrived early Friday AM. Our first stop was Caroline Restaurant. We stayed downstairs to have a few drinks and appetizers until the roof opened.

Upstairs Caroline is called Austin’s premier, urban, backyard party. Upstairs Caroline has all the games and drink specials you want for a fun day with friends. They have taco specials on Friday along with frozen drink specials. Warning, they’re strong and delicious.
Saturday Yacht Day @ Lake Travis
We went out on Friday night to 6th Street. But I was still able to wake up early Saturday morning. We had breakfast at 8AM and left at 9AM to head to the lake. Lake Travis is about 40 mins away from downtown. We arrived to a beautiful day.
For the Yacht Weekend Crew, we had 3 double decker boats with 250 people. Everyone was pleasant, got along and we had a blast. We ate, drank, swam, and danced. They had a great DJ in the center boat and he played all the hits. So thankful for my sister, Catherine for getting us all together for this amazing weekend.
We met some fun people on other boats and hung with them Saturday afternoon. You’re on the lake from 11-4:00PM. It’s a long day in the sun. After a quick nap, we made it out Saturday and got to check out some other bars away from 6th street. Do you have a favorite Austin bar?
