TownePlace Suites Nashville Staycation

I brought in 2021 with a much needed staycation. I was hosted on NYE night at one of Nashville’s newest downtown hotels, TownePlace Suites Nashville. The hotel is situated in the up and coming Capitol District neighborhood. It’s near the Sounds Stadium and a short walk from downtown. TownePlace is a Marriott Bonvoy property which means great service and all of the amenities you need.

Since it was NYE I stayed within the hotel. My NYE stay was very quiet as Nashville didn’t have its typical fireworks and huge Broadway bash. Quiet was welcome after the rollercoaster of 2020. When you arrive at TownePlace Suites, they have a cute coffee bar in the lobby called Moonshot. Your stay comes with a complimentary morning breakfast. There is also a snack shop and lots of lobby space to telework or lounge. On warmer days they have a large patio area off the lobby with 2 large screen TVs. After exploring the lobby, I was greeted by a cute welcome gift in my room.

All of the suite options at TownePlace are comfortable and spacious. Choose the size that is right for your party. If you are traveling with a group for a birthday party, bachelorette, TownePlace is a great option. You won’t be cramped and will be so close to all of the attractions. I love that each room has an eating area with a full size fridge. Great if you’re doing an extended stay or long weekend.

I love the spacious kitchen areas

There are different view options. I got a downtown balcony view. It was a little too chilly to fully enjoy, but the view was nice. Each suite comes with a sleeper sofa in the living room area.

My favorite part of the hotel is the rooftop bar, Zeppelin Nashville. It’s open to the public with a side entrance if you ever just want to stop for drinks. I actually did this back in November when they first opened. It is spacious with indoor and outdoor dining options. The indoor area is surrounded by windows which is nice. I was able to sit by a window with open air and be socially distant. For NYE, they had a 6-course Chef’s dinner. I love the steak and shrimp cocktail, but the highlight was dessert. Who doesn’t want to ring in the New Year with gold plated cake? Since it was NYE I stuck mostly to champagne, but they do have wonderful specialty cocktails.
