Pensacola Beach Trip Guide

I had one of the best beach trips this month. I took my first trip down to Pensacola. I was hosted for 3 nights at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Hotel. There isn’t an airport in the beach area so you have to fly into Pensacola. On a good day it’s about 35-45 minutes. Due to a hurricane in November 2020, there was only 1 bridge operational. It took us about 1.5 hours to get to the hotel which cut into our beach time a little bit. That really was the biggest snag, but once there, everything was so good. I suggest ordering a shuttle rather than a Lyft or Uber.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite at the Hilton Pensacola Beach. Highly recommend for a family or group. The suite has a queen bed, 2 double beds, a pull out couch and a king bed. It was only 2 of us, but it would have been great for a birthday or bachelorette party. There are 2 large balconies with gorgeous views of the ocean and the city. The suite also comes with 2 full bathrooms, a full dining room and kitchen. The kitchen came in handy as we had so much leftover food from each meal. The Hilton knows how to feed you! While we def enjoyed the room, we loved the rest of the property.

Hilton Pensacola Beach has 2 on-site restaurants Bonsai and the H2O Grill. Bonsai is upscale Japanese. It’s small and intimate so I encourage you to make a reservation. Hands down , it’s one of the top 2 sushi places I’ve been to. From the sake to the sushi and the steak, everything was great. Our server was so knowledgeable too. We stayed until closing as we just wanted to taste everything.

H2O Grill is American and lots of fresh seafood. I recommend the seafood tower. When I’m the gulf you must indulge in ALL of the seafood you can handle, The best part of the meal was the desserts. I’ll go back just for the desserts at H2O Grill. In the morning, they have a buffet at the grill. H2O has a bar in the lobby. There is also the pool bar situated next to the beach to serve you as you swim and lounge.

Hilton Pensacola Beach has an indoor pool which we didn’t use. When at the beach for 3 days, you want to be outside. It’s a nice option when whether isn’t awesome though. There was so much space at the two outdoor pools we braved the wind and laid out. You can rent a cabana outside for the day or lounge in one of the chairs.

Pensacola Beach area is very walkable. We went off property Friday to Crabs on the Beach. During our stay, it was very windy the first 2 days. Our boat trip Friday morning was actually cancelled. Because of the wind, Crabs also had their beach seating closed. It was still nice inside. Good drinks and nice bar food.

My friends at the Hilton took care of me! Hilton Pensacola Beach is managed by Innisfree Properties. They’re a great a management company. While I was hosted, I truly loved my stay! I’ll def be back.
