“Tis the season for holiday pop-up bars! As a native Nashvillian, this is the first time there have been so many pop-up bar options. I went on a journey with a few blogger buddies to check out the best Nashville has to offer.
Most of these can be experienced free of charge, just purchase something off the yummy holiday menus. Check out the guide below. Let me know which ones you go to and what items on the menu you try.
HQ Beercade is already a fun bar for adults, but they have out done themselves this holiday season. The pop up bar, “Reindeer Games” features various installations including a full size sleigh. You can play free pinball and retro games until 12/29. Every Tuesday, they show a holiday movie and serve complimentary popcorn. The night we went, it was The Grinch Whole Stole Christmas.
Their holiday menu has lots of options. I got the one that comes with 2 cookies and a candy cane! If you can only make it to one pop up bar this month, I recommend it’s this one!
Winter Wonderland at Walden Bar
This was my first visit to Walden Bar. I’ve only heard good things about this East Nashville watering hole. The “Winter Wonderland” pop-up Bar features a cozy fire place, a giant stuffed bear and decorated swings. The holiday menu includes warm drinks like a hot toddy and hot cocoa. I got the hot cocoa and it was so yummy. It also came in the cutest Santa mug which was a hit amongst other bar goers.
365 days a year, the Noelle’s hidden downstairs bar is concealed to most behind a glass door. I had the chance to go when they first opened. This holiday, it’s open to the public as it’s transformed into “Miracle at Hidden Bar”. Do be cautious, it’s small so there might be wait. It opens at 4PM every day. If there is a wait, don’t worry, they have games outside of the bar to keep you busy.
This is a trend that other big cities have been doing for years. I’m happy it has finally reached Nashville. Going with my Nash blogger Babes Friday! This is another one that has limited space. To make a reservation there is a $400 minimum. The max that can fit in an igloo is 8 people. That’s $50 a person for the night which isn’t too bad for food, drinks and the experience. If you don’t make it into an igloo, the rest of the hotel is beautiful decorated. Plenty of photo ops for you and your group!
Kung Fu Nashville
Everyone needs an ol faithful. You’re always sure to have a good time at Kung Fu. It’s an adult playground…literally. They have decked the inside and outside for Christmas. This is probably the best option if you don’t want a huge crowd or want to wait too long to get in.
Let me know if you go to any of these bars. I will be following up with other holiday attractions for families. I hope each of you has fun this holiday. Spend time with those that matter most. That’s what’s most important.
love,
Leigh
