After 3 long days, we arrived at Sunday…the end! Sunday was our 2nd Annual Blogger Xchange XPO finale. We started the 2019 XPO with a Thursday Night VIP Mixer, Friday Night Kick-Off Party and then Saturday Speaker & Classes. We crafted the weekend to be a nice mix of learning, networking and fun. Sunday we knew after 8 hours of classes on Saturday, that a true Sunday Funday was needed.
I have to give a huge shout to my mom. She helped before and everyday during the XPO from registration to buying last minute helium tanks. She’s a true angel and I adore her. She’s my person.
Sunday we held the brunch at the redepper. We have a great relationship with them as we have held more than a handful of BX events in their space. They’re great to work with. The main attraction at brunch was most certainly our balloon ring. We teamed up with Lamar, the owner of LaMarvelous Balloons. He went to Fisk and is a true artistic genius. Not only that, he’s one of the sweetest humans I have met. I mean that and want everyone to know and go support this amazing man. He killed the stairway design and went beyond my dreams on the ring. It really set everything off and made it more special.
Our brunch was catered by Chef Batts. We worked with Keith for the first XPO. He does an amazing job and the food is always on point. Let him bless your kitchen. Keith has catered private friend and family events for me. We also went to high school together. And yes, Moments by Mama Bear Photography was there again to capture everything. Video for the day was captured by C’Roy. He is one of my fave videographers in Nashville. He works alone, but is a small army by himself.
What’s a Sunday Funday without Jams? We had 1/3 of the Vibe Gawds DJ for us. Vibe Gawds sure know how to make it a party with their mixes. They kept us dancing, even when we should have been working. Our bartender for the brunch was Darold. He made a few custom drinks for us and also kept the mimosas flowing. He is available for private and corporate events. We had our favorite drinks on the bar including Deep Bay Spirits, Jackson Morgan Cream, Muddy Boot Wine and Uncle Nearest.
For Sunday Brunch this year, we wanted to switch it up and make it more interactive. When attendees walked in they had a mimosa from Her Signature Events champagne wall. They were also greeted by Birdie’s Frozen Drinks cart. They were able to pick their flavor and what type of frozen drink they wanted. If you’re out in the Gulch, you can catch the cart in front of the angel wings mural by Taziki’s. We loved meeting the owners from Birdie’s and hearing their story. Morgan from Her Signature Events is great to work with and I recommend her for any future events you have in the Nashville area.
Downstairs, we had massages by iKnead Massage Therapy and Omni Massage & Beauty Bar. We also had beauty tutorials and makeup sessions by Beautiac and Xiss and Makeup. If you need your makeup done, we highly recommend Bianca from Xiss & Makeup. Attendees were able to shop our vendors again and enjoy the activation from Happy Huts. We had a special sweet treat downstairs too from Custom Creations by Chanel. She is a one woman show and made us an incredible cake and matching cupcakes. It not only looked amazing, but tasted like heaven. Guess who Chanel went to high school with? Yup, you guessed it, me! I have been blessed to grow up and meet some talented people. I love that I can support their business and they can support mine.
In addition to the brunch being interactive, we wanted to add in a bit of learning too. We had Kenya the creator of @HalfieTruths talk about the importance of authenticity. Kenya is down to earth, funny and we really enjoyed her. After her speech, we did a few more giveaways. Giveaways included 2 VIP kits from Beautiac, 2 custom baskets from Cracker Barrel, a gift card & styling session from Macy’s Green Hills, 2 Native in Nashville t-shirts, Tiff Treat’s gift cards, Taziki’s Nashville gift card, Pink Lily Boutique gift card, P. Brown session and Ode to Self Skincare kit.
That’s it folks. That’s all 4 days of the 2019 XPO. You can join us for the 2020 XPO and before then, we will have a lot more events. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @BloggerXchange and visit our website. We look forward to adding you to our growing network.
love,
Leigh
